I can’t seem to get anything much accomplished lately! Since Mom has joined Netflix she is trying to rotate movies in and out like there is no tomorrow, we send one off and get one the next day. While looking through the offerings at Netflix I noticed the HBO series “Six Feet Under”. I only saw a few episodes on free HBO weekends and enjoyed them a lot. With delight I signed us up for all 5 seasons of the show.
Mother and I have become addicted to this show! Goodness knows how we will manage when it is over. Heaven help the Netflix customer service representative if Mother doesn’t get her anticipated DVD in the mail...especially for weekend viewing.
There are so few really entertaining shows available to watch anymore. I must admit that Six Feet Under is a bit risqué at times but the stories are so well written and acted that we are hooked. My favorite character is Nate Fisher the eldest brother in the Fisher family. This family owns a small funeral home and each episode begins with someone’s death and the Fisher’s handling their service. At the same time the family’s problems and activities are interwoven into the plot. If you are not offended by some nudity and profanity then I can highly recommend this series.
I even made a scrapbook layout about the show for a lesson in the design class I am taking at Big Picture Scrapbooking. First time I ever attempted printing my journaling and title in ‘white’ print. I think the layout looks very professional. I hope this layout will help me to remember how much I am enjoying seeing this series. If money were no object...I would buy the series for myself on DVD.
