How strange the weather has been for late fall...we are having temperatures common to January rather than November and December. One week our lows are in the teens and the next week our high temperatures nearing 70 degrees! Bizarre! We have had several good rains which were badly needed but since my rain gauge is useless I have to depend on Beth to tell me how much she received so I can know about what we received.
Our propane gas has really dwindled quickly this fall. When I checked the level on December 12th we were down to 30%. When the delivery man fills us up on the 15th we will have purchased $700.00 worth of propane already...and it is not even winter yet, yikes!
Our Monday night cropping group decided to celebrate the holidays by holding a small party at Marsha’s house on December 15th. Angie challenged us to create paper ornaments to exchange with one another. I haven’t made ornaments in many years but thankfully purchased a model of one when Beth and I visited Claire’s shop in Fayetteville last week. I did not have specific Christmas paper as I scrap Christmas activities so little but did have some red and green Daisy D’s paper that filled the need. The ornaments turned out quite nice if I do say.
Everyone took finger foods to the party and we had a nice time chatting, eating and sharing time together. Loretta will be visiting family in Washington, D.C. over the holidays so we might not meet on the 22nd to scrap.
Here is our happy group minus Jeni from Stockbridge who was taking the photo.
And Marsha's beautiful Christmas Tree....almost makes me wish I had put a tree up.
Happy Holidays to Everyone!!
