Loretta has gone out of state to visit family for Christmas, so I went to Beth’s house tonight and worked on cutting out pieces for my Civil War Anniversary Quilt. Beth set up an area in her basement with tables so we could stitch, crop or quilt there in lieu of going to Loretta’s freezing Church in Locust Grove. I got one entire month of the ‘block of the month’ quilt cut out for assembly. My back was hurting after bending over the table to cut the fabric so I just sat and we chatted for a bit before I went home.
Tonight is a rare occurrence; a total lunar eclipse on the Winter Solstice, this event has not happened since 1638. Unfortunately it is cloudy in our area so I don’t think I will set the clock to awaken me at 2:45 am. We are expecting some rain and the cloud cover is pretty thick tonight. It seems many astrological happenings are occurring recently and more to come in the next few years. I hope all the worry about serious earth changes for December 2012 is for naught.
